who we are

Tree Advice Shouldn't Come With a Sales Pitch

Most tree assessments are done by the same companies that profit from cutting, pruning, or removing trees. Even with the best intentions, that's a conflict of interest.

HumaniTree is different. We are a consulting-only firm. We don't own chainsaws, bucket trucks, or a removal crew, so we have your best interests in mind when recommending solutions.

  • Objective. Our recommendations aren't tied to a work order. If a tree can be saved, we'll tell you.
  • Data-Driven. Every assessment follows industry standards and is backed by field data, photos, and documented findings.
  • Defensible. Our reports are written to hold up with city permitting offices, insurers, HOA boards, and in court.

Field Expertise Meets Business Sense

Who we are

HumaniTree was built on a simple idea: tree decisions are better when the person giving advice has nothing to gain from the outcome.

Our team bridges technical field excellence with realistic business strategy. We understand the science of tree health and structure, the budgets, timelines, and liability concerns our clients face. The result is consulting that is both scientifically sound and practical to act on.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is a consulting arborist?

A consulting arborist is a tree expert who provides assessments, reports, and professional opinions without performing tree work. Our role is to advise.

  • Do you remove or prune trees?

No. HumaniTree does not perform any tree work. That independence is what makes our recommendations objective.

  • Why not just ask a tree service for an assessment?

Many tree services offer free estimates, but their business depends on selling work. An independent consultant has no financial interest in whether a tree comes down or not.

  • Will your report be accepted by my city or HOA?

Our reports are prepared to meet professional standards and local requirements. We'll confirm specific submission requirements during your consultation.

  • How long does it take to get a report?

Turnaround time depends on the size and scope of the project.

  • What areas do you serve?

We serve Western North Carolina. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.
